Salinas y Montañita

SALINAS

We left Quito on Thursday night around 11 p.m. and arrived in Salinas mid-day Friday! Salinas was very quite, but beautiful. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great for the whole weekend. There were lots of clouds and no sun. Also, I came down with a cold just upon arriving and spent a lot of our time in Salinas sleeping. However, I still got a chance to walk along the beach and around the Salinas Naval Base.

MONTAÑITA

Around 2 p.m. on Saturday, we made it to Montañita, a small surfing town. The whole town spanned only about 10 blocks and it was all adorable! We staying a 2 story hotel room that overlooked likely the liveliest part of the town. It was a great place just to walk around because everything was so close by! To round out the weekend, we spent some time boogieboarding! It was a GREAT weekend and a great first trip out of Quito for me!
